Many of today’s industries make use of a variety of materials and chemical compounds that may be harmful to humans. Air sampling is routinely used to evaluate potential exposure and to determine remediation and mitigation protocols. One of Walden’s clients operates a semi-automated soldering station as part of their industrial process. Worker complaints lead to an OSHA inspection that required demonstration of compliance. Walden developed sampling plans and provided on-site air sampling for personnel directly involved in soldering operations as well as several area samples. Walden then provide the facility with a detailed summary and evaluation of the sampling that demonstrated compliance with the current regulations.
