Mike brings his considerable experience as a geologist and environmental expert to every client and project, ensuring success. Mike is a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with over 40 years of experience in government, consulting, contracting and education. He is Walden’s senior geologist and serves as both doer and mentor to Walden’s staff regarding complex hydrogeologic issues. Mike has had a diverse career as a hydrogeologist, applied geophysicist and environmental expert, serving private, institutional and government clients. He has expanded his professional horizons by continuing education in new field investigative and analytical techniques, including vapor intrusion and groundwater modeling. His projects have taken him throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Canada. A brief cross-section of his project experience includes regional groundwater studies, water supply development and protection, contamination assessments and remediation. He has been an expert witness and provided environmental litigation support. Mike is a past president of the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) Northeast Section, representing geologists in New York, New Jersey and New England. He is currently involved in developing new water intake applications for the power industry to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact using a patented horizontal intake well system.
