Round 2 of FuzeHub’s Manufacturing Grants Is Now Open!
Are you part of a nonprofit or a manufacturing company? You may be eligible to apply for funding through FuzeHub’s Manufacturing Grants!
FuzeHub, an organization that provides assistance to New York State manufacturing and technology companies, makes grant funding available through the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund. Grants are awarded to support commercialization and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
About the Manufacturing Grants
FuzeHub began accepting applications for Round 2 of their 2025 Manufacturing Grants on April 15. The application period is open until 11:59 p.m. on May 14.
There is a total of $390K in Round 2 funding available. Individual award amounts can range from $15K–$65K.
Round 1 of the Manufacturing Grants program concluded in March. In Round 1, funding was available for established companies. In the current Round 2, funding is available for startup companies.
The Manufacturing Grants are structured to encourage collaboration between nonprofit organizations and small- and medium-sized manufacturers. In Round 2, the main applicant to the program is a nonprofit company. The nonprofit partners with between one and five manufacturing companies – and in this round, the manufacturers must be startups.
To be considered a startup, the manufacturing organization must meet the following specifications:
- For most companies, they cannot have been in business for over five years. This limit is extended to seven years for companies in the biomedical, medical device, and life science fields
- The company cannot have a yearly revenue of over $100K, or a total revenue of over $500K
- The company cannot have received over $2M in investments – but grant awards received are not included in this total
The manufacturers must also have a physical presence in the State of New York and a Dun & Bradstreet profile with a NAICS code that has been deemed eligible for this program (view the list of eligible codes here).
Applicants can seek funding for the following manufacturing projects:
- Proof-of-concept manufacturing
- Integration of new technology into operations
- Design
- Prototype development
- Scale-up
- Buying new equipment
Essentially, projects must promote innovation and enhancements in manufacturing, helping to expand this field in New York State and contribute to economic growth.
