engineering, engineer, internship, educationFor the summer of 2024, Walden has hired John Galbraith to an entry level internship position. Galbraith attends Lafayette College, where he studies mechanical engineering and is also a midfielder on their Division I lacrosse program. For his senior year, he is working with a group of eleven other students on a design project pertaining to robotics and control systems.

With experience in subjects such as fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, and engineering softwares such as Fusion360, AutoCAD, and MATLAB, Galbraith is looking to add field experience to his technical abilities. This sparked his interest in Walden, which strives to create a collaborative environment and to provide hands-on opportunities for interns.

Galbraith’s emphasis on developing relationships, willingness to work on any project, and ability to quickly develop the skills necessary to benefit his team make him a valuable addition to Walden’s staff.

At Walden, we place a huge priority on giving back to the communities that we serve. One of the major ways in which we work to achieve this is through providing educational, internship, and scholarship opportunities to local high school and college students. We are passionate about sharing our knowledge and helping to prepare future engineers for the workforce. We are excited to see all that Galbraith learns and achieves this summer and beyond!
