engineering, co-op program, intern, student, hiring, environmental engineering, open positions, long islandWalden is excited to announce the hiring of our newest team member, Purity Ireri, who joins us as an intern from Hofstra University. Ireri is a master’s student in Hofstra’s co-op program. She spent a few years in the workforce prior to beginning at Hofstra, where she was able to build a strong base of engineering knowledge and skills.

Having spent over four years as a Field Service Manager, Ireri has honed her abilities in project coordination and resource management to ensure the success of various endeavors. In her previous role, she demonstrated a keen eye for detail, focusing on executing projects in compliance with established laws and regulations. This commitment to adherence to legal standards aligns with Walden’s company ethos, where we prioritize environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance in all that we do.

Prior to her role as a Field Service Manager, Ireri also served as a Field Engineer, where she collaborated closely with a team of engineers to complete projects according to provided designs. This experience not only sharpened her technical acumen but also instilled in her the importance of effective teamwork and communication—a cornerstone of our company culture at Walden.

Over the course of her six years in the industry, Ireri has acquired a diverse skill set that will be of great value to the Walden team. As she embarks on this new chapter with us, we look forward to witnessing her contributions and growth within our organization.

At Walden, we are invested in helping to shape the next generation of engineers. We typically have both high school and college interns working in one or more of our offices.
