Walden Environmental Engineering celebrated its 22nd anniversary this May. Following tradition, Walden staff celebrated the company’s anniversary by participating in “Walden Day,” which is a day of service where Walden volunteers at local organizations to help give back to our community. This year, Walden was honored to help at the Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center in Garden City, New York.
The Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center stores countless historic firefighting equipment from Long Island Fire Departments and houses an education center for children to learn about the dangers of fire and how to react in a threatening situation.
Walden dusted well-maintained historic fire engines, sanitized children’s chairs and toys, polished glass cases, organized the educational center, and cleaned floors to allow visitors and employees to enjoy the museum and education center.
Walden employees look forward to Walden Day every year as their opportunity to give back and help others in our community. We all wish to thank everyone at The Nassau County Firefighters Museum and Education Center for allowing us to help and learn at the museum and all Nassau County Firefighters for their service.
