Walden is very pleased to announce that Vice President and Senior Project Manager Nora Brew has been recognized as a Top Engineer at the 2025 Long Island Business News (LIBN) Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards. Nora was honored at an awards presentation on Monday, June 23rd. She attended the event along with other members of Walden’s team. It was a great evening, and we are delighted that Nora received this well-deserved recognition.

The Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards ceremony is held annually and highlights individuals, companies, and projects that have made exceptional contributions to Long Island’s growth and development. Nora received the Top Engineer award after being nominated by a fellow Walden employee and selected by a panel of judges. According to the LIBN, judges make their selections based on the degree to which “the candidate or organization has made a significant impact in their respective industries in the Long Island community.” Being community-oriented is one of Walden’s core values, and Nora exemplifies this quality.

Nora began working at Walden in 2005 and has over three decades of experience in engineering, environmental consulting, and project management. Her wide-ranging expertise includes regulatory compliance, site investigation and remediation, hazardous waste handling, petroleum and chemical bulk storage design, contract administration, grant writing and management, environmental audits and assessments, construction oversight, and bid document preparation.

Nora is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the states of New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. She maintains many long-standing relationships with clients, working tirelessly to help them address their environmental challenges. She also serves as a mentor to Walden’s junior staff, providing guidance and helping them to develop their technical skills and grow as consultants. She is an integral part of Walden and is highly respected by coworkers and clients alike. We are very fortunate to have her on the team.
