The City of Fort Wayne, Division of Utilities will conduct the 2022 Northern Indiana Stormwater Conference on October 5, 2022. Walden is pleased to help the city facilitate this regional program that provides education, outreach, professional development hours for professional engineers, and other opportunities to learn more about protecting water quality. Walden has assisted in conducting similar seminars for the Town of New Paltz, New York, and for towns and counties in Long Island. We are delighted to assist the City of Fort Wayne by moderating this important education and outreach program.

This year, the annual conference will be conducted in person. City Utilities will host several speakers and guests throughout the day for presentations during one-hour sessions, to introduce important topics regarding advancements in better stormwater management. Walden’s Thomas T. (Ted) Nitza, Jr., P.E. will be leading a session on the latest developments in engineering ethics.

Other sessions throughout the day will cover courses in Erosion Control, Best Management Practices, Stormwater Infrastructure, Urban-focused Erosion Control, Use of Emerging Polymers, and Regulatory Updates. A special emphasis this year is the topic of Concrete Washouts, with a panel discussion planned, as well as the latest on prevention.

This event will provide Professional Development Hours (PDH) for Engineers in the State of Indiana.
