Walden is pleased to announce that Kelly Paolini, one of our EHS Specialists, recently earned an ergonomics certification from The Back School! Ms. Paolini completed 15 contact hours, which included educational videos and written reports, as well as a final exam that tested her knowledge of ergonomics assessments and musculoskeletal disorder prevention. Upon finishing this course, she received her Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS®) I certification.
Approximately 10,000 individuals have obtained various certifications through The Back School since the year 2000. Aside from certifying individuals to provide evaluations, The Back School also provides trainings and on-site ergonomics consulting services to a huge variety of clients. Musculoskeletal injuries are one of the leading causes of workplace injuries, and can result in high costs for businesses. When organizations implement a strong ergonomics program, they can expect to see a healthier team, as well as improved work quality, greater efficiency, more engaged and happier employees, and significantly lower costs.
