Gwendolyn H. Burke

P.E., PROJECT MANAGER

Gwen is a Professional Engineer licensed in New York State with a Master’s Degree in Engineering and an MBA in Finance. She has over two decades of experience working in the engineering field. She began her career as an engineer in hazardous, municipal, and medical waste management, followed by several years at the MTA Bridge and Tunnel Authority as a Project Engineer at the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge. She also has over ten years of teaching experience, mostly at the high school level.

At Walden, Gwen has taken on the role of assisting clients in the areas of drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater management and development of brownfield sites. She has been instrumental in working with communities to develop Asset Management Plans for Publicly Owned Treatment Works under the State’s Asset Management Program. Her expertise in the area of grant writing helps Walden’s clients find solid financial solutions for their projects.
