Erica Johnston

Ms. Johnston has many years of experience in Environmental Consulting in the Long Island and New York Metropolitan areas. She has overseen multiple New York City Voluntary Cleanup Program and New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program projects, and is adept at navigating developers through the site approval process from application to completion. She is skilled in the areas of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Excavation and Construction Oversight, Waste Characterization, and Soil Disposal Coordination. For Walden, Ms. Johnston has managed large and complex remediation projects which have involved a high volume of soil export and/or multiple engineering and institutional controls along with remedial closure reports, air and noise remedial action plans, focused subsurface investigations, air monitoring, groundwater well installation and sampling, ground penetrating radar surveys, and soil characterization and disposal coordination. Her extensive background includes oversight of monitoring and remedial activities at New York State Brownfield, Voluntary Cleanup and Solid Waste Management Program sites throughout Long Island and New York City.
