Some of Vines’s previous positions include Director of Administration for the Department of Citywide Administrative Services, Office of Transportation Services; Supervisor of Intake Data Processing for the Department for the Aging, Senior Citizens Rent Exemption Program; and Word Processor for the Mayor’s Office. Before retiring in January of this year, Vines was the Director of the Office of Transportation Services.
Vines obtained her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from SUNY Empire State College. She brings a wealth of skills to Walden, including communication, customer support, asset management, office management, budgeting, leadership, organization, databases, contracts, and project planning. We are very lucky to have Vines on the team!
Tyler Miller
Miller, from Woodbury, NY, is a rising senior at the State University of New York at New Paltz, working towards his mechanical engineering degree. While attending the university, his favorite course so far has been Topics in Engineering Design. During his free time, Miller enjoys playing golf and spending time with his fiancé and dogs.
As a NYSERDA intern, Miller is part of a program that focuses on facilitating student opportunities to work and learn within clean energy businesses or organizations that work in the clean energy sector. Interns work on projects such as energy efficiency audits and investigations, solar and energy storage feasibility studies, and other related research and development topics focusing on applications in the water, wastewater, and solid waste industries. Walden is pleased to involve Miller in these types of projects and to contribute to the advancements of these options for our clients and communities.
Walden’s partnership with NYSERDA in the internship program is now well-established, and will continue through 2023 and into 2024. We are pleased to participate in this excellent student engagement program. Walden will continue to offer these purposeful internships to motivated, hard-working students, and we are now seeking candidates for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters.
