Joseph W. Burden is a Project Engineer at Walden Environmental Engineering.

Joe received his Bachelor of Science in Coastal Zone Environmental Management and his Master of Science in Surveying with Land and Environmental Management from the University of Exeter, Camborne School of Mines in the U.K. 

Joe has provided design engineering and field management services for a variety of civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering projects. He has mainly served projects in the tri-state area, which have included environmental investigations and remediation projects. This included assisting with the development of excavation design, cost estimation, specification writing, bid preparation and construction management tasks. Previously he worked as environmental field manager on the Second Avenue Subway Project in New York City, a $4.5 Billion MTA Capital Construction Project, and was responsible for managing project wide contractor environmental compliance. He worked on the LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal B Redevelopment Project as a lead environmental field engineer.

During his free time, Joe enjoys surfing, travelling, rugby and spending time with his two year old son. Walden is delighted to have Joe as a new addition to our team!
