Turnkey Compliance Solutions, a division of Walden Environmental Engineering is delighted to welcome Mike Smilovich to the team. Smilovich will work within Turnkey’s team. The focus of his work will be on Environmental, Health, and Safety outsourcing for Turnkey clients.
Smilovich is an expert in developing well-rounded safety and risk assessment solutions for public and private organizations. He most recently worked for a large ski resort in Vermont as the director of human resources and risk as well as the safety manager. His work has been crucial in helping the resort obtain compliance with applicable OSHA regulations. He has a rich history in helping organizations build best-in-class programs to manage safety and health, risk, talent development, and succession planning.
He also served as a quality assurance manager for a security firm with over 750 employees and 150 sites. His role involved regular interaction with employees at all levels of the organization including the management team and new officers, many of whom he developed for advanced roles.
As a veteran of the US Army, Smilovich retired with the rank of staff sergeant and held roles related to anti-terrorism and physical security site assessments including intelligence collection team chief. His ability to gain the respect of command staff and soldiers under his authority was integral to his success while enlisted. The skills that he gained in the Army’s Protections Program have served him well and contributed to his advanced knowledge of developing risk assessments.
